Rawalpindi: Today the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Asif Ghafoor revealed that the Indian Army is targeting the urban population with accelerated ceasefire violations. He said, in a press conference, that India is responding negatively to the Kartarpur Border opening which will be the one entry point into Pakistan for Indian Sikhs.

He followed on to talk about the peace in the country. He said that terrorism incidents have minimized in the country and that the law and order situation in Karachi has also improved. Large part of war on terror has been waged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he added. The army official said that Balochistan insurgents are surrendering to include the mainstream. Internal weaknesses have been exploited against Pakistan by enemies, he went on to say.

He went on to talk about Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad which has been under way for the past two years and is now near complete. He mentioned that 44 operations had been carried out during this time and a total of around 32 000 weapons had been seized during these actions.
